Well, at least that's what she used to think. She admits, "I did my best parenting before I had children. My kids were never going to be disrespectful or embarrass me in public. Back then, I was a sharply dressed, clean feminine woman with a maid service and a skull full of brain cells. Things change!" Two formats available: $12 downloadable e-book from EncouragingAudioBooks.com, or you can get the $8.00 CD handmade & autographed by me! Click here to email me if you want the CD.

Celia captures the big har, big fingernails, and big laughs that most all Southern Mommas know and love! And yes, growing our bangs out is very traumatic.

How much is that scorpion in the window?

How much is that scorpion in the Window?
by John Martin

When humour writer John Martin was a boy, pet shops provided simple pets for simple needs in simple times. But times have changed.

"I was in the pet shop the other day and was truly startled with what they had to sell," Martin writes in this collection of stories both small and tall. The stories, which have all on his web site at one stage, range from his twisted accounts from the pet shop, the kitchen and the garden to spoof news pieces to fictional humour and satire lampooning the workplace, sport and politics.

How much is that Scorpion in the window? is not due out until May/June but they are taking orders now. It's a Western Australian publisher but they're geared up for posting copies to the US for about $8 Australian.

Whether you have a slight addiction to caffeine, an irrational hatred of supermodels, or enough training in domestic peacekeeping to secure federal employment, Shana McLean Moore has the antidote to your pain. She knows you'll find it at the bottom of a hot cup of coffee, savored while taking a few minutes out of your selfless day to indulge in some of her caffeinated ponderings.

Great stories and wonderful recipes - I should know, I'm a contributor! Look for my tailgating recipes and story in this book. Proceeds from this book don't line the pockets of the writers or publisher, but to help illiteracy.

Bruce is a great guy, fun, and hysterical as this book proves. Not convinced? Sign up for his free humor column by visiting his site http://www.wbrucecameron.com/

Love Cinderella stories? Well, James is a poor orphan that happens to find a giant peach and he goes on a fun adventure across the ocean with lots of giant bugs. This movie is great for kids and adults - I love it!

Turn South at the Next Magnolia is a collection of commentaries on Southern life and phenomena. Author, Nan Graham has been a bi-weekly commentator on Wilmington, NC's local public radio station since 1994.

A Southern Belle Primer meets The Rules in this engaging volume that explains the mystique of Southern women and why they always get what they want, and shows women how to get the same kind of romantic, professional, and personal success.

Alan Jackson sings the songs of a true Southerner.

This is the harrowing and dark humor tale of the Bundren family's trek across Mississippi to bury Addie, their wife and mother, in the town of her choice. The story is told by each family member -- including Addie herself.

Mystery Men is one of the funniest movies I've come across lately. Superman too super? Batman too batty? Well, these super heroes are really special, there's the Shoveler (he shovels), The Spleen (he ... uh ... passes wind), The Blue Raja (he throws forks) and more!

This book contains a great collection of humorous cat poems. Even if you don't love cats, you'll love the silliness.

King bares his writer's soul in this book - every writer should buy a copy for reference.

Awesome CD with my favorite song I Can Only Imagine.

This is another great book to read if you're a writer. Lamott offers interesting approaches on the craft of writing.
