True Love

When you love someone, you want to do nice things for him or her. For the ladies, chocolate candy works, flowers are nice, love notes lift the heart, and a little help around the house are even better! Men like back rubs, power tools, NASCAR caps, season tickets, and easy access to the remote. But even the most extravagant gifts like a new car or a nice dinner out pale in comparison to the unconditional love described in John 3:16.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, and that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

God's gift to us was much more than roses and a mopped kitchen, it was God's only Son Jesus that that died on a cross to remove our sins and bring us closer to Him. Even if it were only YOU and no one else, Jesus would still have died - for YOU.

When we believe and accept God's gift, our hearts are completely filled with love that endures forever. We belong to God's family and as we are promised in Romans 8:38-39:

"Neither death, nor life ... nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Want to experience this true and eternal love? Pray this simple prayer from your heart:

God, thank You for loving me so much that You sent Your only Son to take the punishment for my sins. I turn from my sins and invite You into my life. Fill me with Your love and help me to live for You. Amen.

Thank you for visiting and feel free to email me for any questions or comments or for me to pray with you.
